This 30 hour hands-on course is for the beginner or for those who have some experience. Projects such as walkways and patios using paving bricks, retaining walls use of the new interlocking block and the building and repair of brick stairs will be demonstrated. The student will also learn how to build both brick and block walls with mortar and stucco finish. Safety glasses provided.

Designed specifically for students who have little or no experience working with bees, but have a desire to learn and develop your beekeeping skills and techniques, this course will provide you with the foundation you need to manage your own hive. You'll learn about honey bee behavior and biology, understand the beekeeping calendar, equipment considerations, protective gear, how to order your bees, the installation process, seasonal hive management and so much more. You will learn effective beekeeping techniques so that you keep your bees healthy and thriving all year long.

Digital photography, retouching and printing using a Digital SLR Camera. This 18 hour course is intended for people who are enthusiastic beginners. Students will learn how to use their camera's manual settings rather than rely on "auto" mode. Emphasis will be placed on image composition. Photo editing essentials such as retouching, color correction, cropping, and converting images to black and white will also be presented.
Digital SLR camera (or high-end point and shoot camera with manual settings) and two 1GB memory cards required.

This 30 hour course will provide basic and safe usage of the three most common welding processes: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick welding), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG welding), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG welding). Students will learn the basic welding machine set up, and breakdown, the most commonly used weld wires, and proper techniques of welding. Students need to supply their own welding hood, welding gloves, and a welding jacket which are required for this course.
