TUITION

• Full payment due at time of registration unless otherwise specified
• Tuition or written proof of sponsorship by the sending agency is due upon registration into the program. If receiving company reimbursement, tuition is still payable upon registration
REFUND POLICY
• Refunds are processed on an individual case by case basis. This depends on the student’s reason for leaving the program along with the number of classes taken, the materials included, etc.
OTHER INFORMATION
• Smoking is NOT allowed in any building or on the school property
• Parking - Vehicles must be parked in the South Parking Lot only. No parking on side of access roads or in front of the school at main gate
• Full service cafeteria is available in the evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays
• Food and drinks must be consumed in the cafeteria and may not be carried to the shops or classrooms
• Students are expected to comply with all safety standards and rules for the shop area
• Dress codes are not imposed; however students are expected to wear safe, practical clothing that is appropriate for a school setting.
• Fire alarm procedures are posted in all shop and classroom areas. Should there be a need to sound the alarm, all students and staff are to evacuate the building immediately and remain outside until clearance is given to return to the building. Please do not block roadways or doorways. Remain a safe distance away from the building unless otherwise directed
• If day school is canceled for inclement weather, there will be no evening classes. Announcements are made on all local TV stations. Classes will be made up at a future date
• The use of cell phones is prohibited in classrooms and trade areas. Please step away from class when using phones
AGE
To participate in Whittier Tech Evening Education Programs, students must be 18 years or older and they may not be currently enrolled in a high school or similar educational program. For questions or additional information please contact our Adult Education Team at adulted@whittiertech.org.
SAFETY
Safety is of the utmost importance in the Whittier Tech Adult Education programs. Students may be required to sign a liability waiver based on the course they are attending. Refusal to sign the waiver will result in removal from the class. Instructors will provide expectations of proper dress code. Safety glasses will be provided to all students working in areas that require them. Any questions regarding the safety policy can be directed to a member of the Adult Education Team.
