Passing of a CORI is required prior to acceptance into the program.

This course prepares students for an entry-level career in healthcare with a 100-hour training program for Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Fulfill classroom hours on campus and clinical experience in a local nursing facility with Registered Nurse instructors. The skills taught in this state licensed certificate program include vital signs, moving and turning patients, personal care basics, bed making, bed bath and feeding, record keeping and responding to emergencies.

Proof of immunizations for Flu and Covid-19 are required prior to Clinical Experience. A negative TB test is required prior to Clinical Experience.

Course cost does not include the Massachusetts State CNA Exam fee

The objective of this course is to refresh and enhance the practical and theoretical knowledge of cosmetologists who have completed 1000 hours but were never licensed or have let their license lapse. Students will revisit key areas such as haircutting, styling, coloring, nail and skin care. The focus will be on improving proficiency efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Upon completion of this 60 course students will have the confidence and knowledge to obtain licensure and test prep. 

The course will be 60 hours broken down as follows:

20 hours - chemical services

20 hours- haircutting 

10 hours - nail and skin care

10 hours- theory and mock testing

Students must supply their own sheers. All other required supplies will be provided.

Students in the Cosmetology program will learn the techniques necessary for a career in the beauty industry with a focus on how to develop a self-confident and professional attitude crucial for success in the trade. Students learn the principle steps of performing facials, manicures, scalp treatments, haircuts, foil frosting, and acrylic nails. Chemical services such as hair coloring, hair bleaching, permanent waving and hair straightening are demonstrated throughout the program.

Upon completion of one thousand (1,000) hours, students are prepared to take the Massachusetts State Board exam, and may obtain a Class I Cosmetology license.

Course cost does not include the Massachusetts State Board exam fee

Upon graduation, job opportunities may include: salon stylist, hair stylist, nail technician, skin care specialist, platform artist, product educator, salon manager or owner, hair color specialist, texture service specialist, wig/extensions specialist, and make-up artist.

Program requires a down payment of $1,000, monthly payment plan is available
